I got parking tickets at this college in nj and never paid them.pls help!!?

i got parking tickets at rutgers new Brunswick nj and never paid them.I don't go to that school.but they keep sending letters to my house about the unpaid tickets.the letter just shows how much I owe.should I pay it off or not?will it affect me later? And I will never attend to that school also.
