Where can I get an outside water spigot adaptor?

I bought this house in September, and the water spigot in the rear of the house is the oddest thing in the world. No hose connects to it. Where can I find an "adaptor" that will allow me to connect a standard garden hose. On the faucet it says "9-A 486 BFP"...The guys at Home Depot looked at me and said they had no idea...
