Why do White people hate Latinos?

I'm White/Mexican/Japanese and i was working at Home depot and some American guy threatened me.. He told me that he was going to call the INS and called me a *******, illegal, dirty Mexican just because i couldn't help him with a problem he was having with a chainsaw. btw I was born in the U.S
